Future Business Leaders of America
State High FBLA
State High FBLA gives students room to try work that may not fit into a class schedule. Members choose an event and prepare alone or with teammates before taking their work to conferences.
Last year's results
The year in numbers
State High had 132 members, and 93 competed at States. The chapter earned 33 top 10 finishes there, including four first-place finishes. Twenty-one members qualified for Nationals, where State High had one finalist and a sixth-place finish.
What members do
Events cover finance, computing, the arts and entertainment. Design has its own events too. Some members take objective tests. Others give presentations or answer questions in a role play.
Competition is only part of the chapter. Guest speakers talk about their careers, and members hear about internships and other business opportunities. Members also run chapter activities and help newer students.

After State High
Chapter alumni have gone on to MIT and Penn State's Smeal College of Business, among other schools. The work they did in FBLA helped prepare them for what came next.
